Brindishe Schools - Class Teachers for September 2024

We are seeking an inspirational teacher with vision and high expectations for learning to join our Federation. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a highly skilled, supportive team of people committed to the staff, the children and the community.

The Brindishe Federation is made up of three Local Authority maintained schools within the borough of Lewisham,  which are currently rated good and outstanding. Brindishe Lee, our one form entry school, is located in Lee. Brindishe Manor, a two form entry school and Brindishe Green, a three form entry school, both of which sit either side of Hither Green Station. All the schools are all located within 10 minutes of each other and are in walking distance of Hither Green or Lee mainline stations, just two stops from London Bridge, or a short bus ride from Lewisham DLR.

                                    Interview will involve a short task, lesson observation and an interview

Brindishe Green School, Extended Services Play Leader

Brindishe Green School, Beacon Road, London, SE13 6EH

Salary: Scale 2N (Scale Point 3 – 4) pro-rata, Term Time Only (£10,259 - £10,414)

Hours:

Tea club – 15 hours per week

The post is part time and subject to a satisfactory 6 months’ probation period

We are currently recruiting for Extended Services Play Leaders at Brindishe Green to join on us on a permanent basis. This role is available to start Monday 22nd April.   

The Brindishe federation comprises of Brindishe Lee (1 form entry), Brindishe Manor (2 form entry) and Brindishe Green (3 form entry), All 3 Brindishe schools are rated Outstanding Lewisham Local Authority Primary Schools providing an exciting education for children aged 3 -11 years, all walking distance from each other, we are a few stops from Charing Cross, Waterloo, London Bridge mainline station or a short walk from Lee or Lewisham station.

The post involves:

  • Promoting children’s safety and well–being
  • Helping to maintain a safe and organised play environment

We are looking for someone who:

  • Can relate well to children and supervise them during Tea club.
  • Is aware of Health & Safety
  • Is willing to follow school policies and procedures in relation to the role.

Brindishe Federation School Administrative Assistant

Salary: Scale 3 (Point 5 – 6) pro-rata, Term Time Only, currently £24,660 - £25,033

Hours: 35 hours per week (typically starting at 8.30am – 4.30pm); Term Time Only (39 weeks per year)

The post is subject to a satisfactory 6 months’ probation period

We are currently recruiting for a School Administrative Assistant on a permanent basis, to support the business function across our three schools. We are looking for a friendly, helpful, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and energetic person to work across our schools, to provide support for the school as well as providing administrative support for Senior Leadership, school staff, and the Federation Team.

We are a very friendly team, working in a highly supportive environment where individual differences are welcomed, and teamwork is highly valued.  

Responsibilities will include; 

  • Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
  • Be aware of and support diversity and ensure equal opportunities for all
  • Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school
  • Appreciate and support the role of other professionals
  • Attend and participate in relevant meetings as required
  • To attend external and internal training and staff development opportunities as requested by SLT
  • To carry out reasonable requests by other members of staff in line with the above job description which will at times include attendance at work in the evening to support school events such as concerts, performances, meetings, workshops
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with the level of the post, as required to ensure the efficient and effective running of the Department/Section.
